Dr. Luc Chalmet has a long experience in operational and supply chain management projects as a consultant with PA Consulting Group, Arthur D. Little, KPMG Consultants, Unisys Consulting and Cimes. The companies that he helped to progress include:

He is part-time professor at the University of Antwerp (ERP packages, application integration and implementation issues), the University of Gent (Production Management, Logistics Management), and Boston University Brussels (Operations Management and Data Analysis). His focus and research is on assessments and operational strategies towards lean agility. He is a frequently invited lecturer at management schools such as the Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School, UAMS the University of Antwerp Management School and others. He has led and published on several European lean and agility assessments when with the Consulting organizations that he worked for.
He is a frequent speaker on lean and agility, both within Belgium as on a more international scale (e.g. his speech on lean agility at the APICS international Conference of Las Vegas in 2003). Between 1995 and 2008, he was president of PICS Belgium, the Belgian professional society for supply chain management, where he now serves his term as past-president.
He is APICS certified in CFPIM (Certified Fellow in Production and Inventory Management) and CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional).
